We totally have potential.

As you can tell, this blog is new. It is fresh. It is exciting. It has potential to be the bomb diggity. (Yeah, I just said bomb diggity.) This potential has obviously not been fully reached yet. Because the two of us are 1,000 miles away from each other balancing work, life, and (of course) fun, we haven’t perfected the site. Not yet. But don’t underestimate us.

In the next coming weeks (or months…), there will be some changes being done to unleash the beauty of this blog. The goal for all of us (probably just Emily and I) is to be patient. We hope you enjoy whatever we bring you and are slightly understanding if there are any technical glitches. We appreciate you sticking by!

The Great Debate

How many details can you brush off and call “minor details”?   When does it cross the line and suddenly become a “major detail”?  Well here is the debate. . .

Yes – I have a dream of riding a motorcycle from coast to coast with my sidekick (sorry laura); however, after some research regarding how much your booty will hurt after a ride that long and the harsh realization of the lack of funds available I have become to question how soon that dream will become a reality?

Example #1 – Motorcycles are expensive. Especially ones that are reliable enough to travel “the distance”.  Add on all the additional gear that you need for storage and the chaps (naturally) and you have a hefty fee.  A fee that a mental health agency and unemployment do not meet very quickly.

Example #2 – By the time we save up enough money in our piggy banks it will be about 5 years later. I am anxious to get the sight seeing and roadtrip planned and underway. Would a car be a little more practical?  I can always ride across the U.S without all the stops at a later date in time. . . .

We need ideas!

Emily and I are fairly smart individuals. Although you may not think so, we know things. We know important things, like  how to put together a 1,000 piece puzzle and still have a social life. However, we will admit that we don’t know everything. Yeah, we did just admit that (or I did for both of our sakes). Things like this happen.

With that being said, we need ideas. Ideas about places to go, things to see, and people to meet. Family and many of our friends have already enlightened us with some great ones and even offered an open invitation for a place to stay, but we are looking for YOU to help us out. Think you can do that? So leave us a comment to contribute! We will pay you in homemade crafts and many hugs. You can’t deny the hugs. They are legendary.

This is the beginning.

It started with a dream, a phone call and a plan of attack. We hope to go to the places we want and have an experience of a lifetime. It will be challenging but totally worth it. Follow us on this super fun journey! Just look at how fun we are!
